Session fees.
Psychology sessions at Neira Psychology range from $225 to $300 for a standard 50-minute consultation, depending on the psychologist and their level of experience. With a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan and GP referral, eligible clients may receive a Medicare rebate of $101.55 to $149.05 per session. For comparison, the 2026–2027 Recommended Schedule of Fees sets the standard 46–60 minute psychology consultation fee at $330. Private health rebates may also be available depending on your level of cover.
We have worked hard to ensure your experience booking and paying for your appointments is as smooth, easy and efficient as possible. When completing your new client information and intake form, we will request your credit/debit card details. These details are stored directly and securely on our practice management software (we are not able to view them). Payment for your session will be processed on the morning of your appointment automatically by our practice software. After your appointment we will process your Medicare rebate (if applicable) via our software and your rebate will be deposited into the bank account you have linked with Medicare (usually you receive your rebate in 1-2 days depending on your specific bank).
