Lily Martin

Registered Psychologist (she/her)Bachelor of Arts Psychology (BA Psychology – First Class Honours).

Hey there! I’m Lily- a Registered Psychologist and Neira’s resident (self-proclaimed) green thumb. I’m so happy you stumbled across my page. While you’re here, let me tell you a bit about what I do.

I think we can agree, life has a way of sucking sometimes. For some people it can feel like one minute they’ve got it all figured out, and the next things start to crumble. For others it can feel as though they’ve always felt sad or scared or angry or different; like they’ve never quite been able to fit the puzzle pieces together. In whatever way life is sucking for you right now, I’m here to help.

I take a trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, holistic and collaborative approach to therapy. My work integrates several evidence-based modalities including Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Dialectical and Behavioural Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy- that’s just a technical way of saying I use a range of treatment types to find the right one for my clients’ needs, meeting them where they’re at and guiding them to where they want to be.

I enjoy working with people of all ages and from all walks of life, including kids (10+) and adolescents, and I have gained experience in not-for-profit community mental health services.

Being my client’s psychologist isn’t “just a job”; it’s a privilege. It’s an honour to walk alongside people as they discover parts of themself they didn’t know existed, and heal other parts they once wished never did. If you feel as though you might want me along for the ride, reach out, because while life does sometimes suck, it can also be pretty damn great.

Lily is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia.
