Hello, my name is Emma. I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, so I strive to create a supportive and non-judgemental space where we can work together on what’s important to you and help navigate life’s challenges.
My therapeutic approach is tailored to your unique needs and incorporates a range of modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, EMDR, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, trauma, or simply want to better understand yourself and your feelings, I’m here to support you in working towards the life you want to live.
A little bit about me, I’m currently completing a PhD exploring supports for people with brain cancer and their carers. I find great meaning in supporting individuals living with cancer to manage issues such as pain, fatigue, fear, uncertainty, anxiety, depression, changes to identity and functioning. I also feel strongly about the importance of ‘caring for the carer’, and work hard to ensure that carers/family members who are supporting someone with cancer also get the support they need. Outside of work, I love being in nature, walking my dog, and spending time with family and friends.
